Saving Our Daughters started as an inspiring book series for girls; presently the book series has launched into an inspirational organization which helps girls to overcome the many obstacles they face growing up: bullying (cyber, gossip, face-to-face), dating abuse, domestic violence and other esteem slayers.

Saving Our Daughters initiatives are rooted within the arts and entertainment fields. Initiatives focus on reaching thousands of teen girls across the country with help from celebrity, corporate and community partners, making it possible to spark positive thoughts and actions.

After searching for over a decade, we are excited to welcome an empowering woman within the film & television industry into the Saving Our Daughters family. Ms. Sanaa Hamri, Executive Producer/Director of EMPIRE on FOX, will join Saving Our Daughters and support the organizations efforts during the 2017-2018 school year.

Sanaa is well recognized as a powerful music video editor for many iconic artists such as Mariah Carey, Jadakiss, Common, Dr. Dre, Lenny Kravitz and Nicki Minaj to name a few.

Sanaa has directed episodes of Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, Nashville and popular films such as Something New and Just Right. Presently, she produces and directs for the highest rated network television show, the musical drama Empire on FOX.

Sanaa was a special guest invited by lead celebrity teacher/mentor, Ms. Jacki Hydock to come and visit the Saving Our Cinderellas performing arts class at Willa Cather Elementary school in Chicago. Saaa shared with the class the difficulties of her upbringing in Tangier, Morocco and how blessed and privileged she is today to have come to America and immerse herself in the arts and entertainment. Sanaa’s message for the girls was this; “where I grew up I had much less than most people. You can all make a difference, and know your passion for anything in your life can come true. Do your research, study people.”

It’s an honor and pleasure to welcome Ms. Sanaa Hamri as the Honorary Community Director & Producer for the Saving Our Daughters organization, working to change and empower girls’ lives who have high interest in the performing arts to help deter bullying.
